It starts with a mountain – Three Kingdoms Generals Gacha Version

It starts with a mountain is set in the Three Kingdoms era, where the main character isekai-ed as the leader of a bandit gang and later gains access to a system, becoming the most infamous bandit general.

1.Info :

Title : It starts with a mountain

Author: Updating

Genre: Action – Isekai – Manhua – Fantasy

Status: Ongoing

2.Plot :

The story revolves around Cheng Da Lei, a game addict who dies tragically and reincarnates into the game world, becoming a notorious bandit general .

However, the original gang leader was trash, leading the gang’s decline and causing his subordinates to flee. Meanwhile, he awakens the mountain camp system, becoming the strongest bandit group in history.

The tasks given by the system are extremely difficult, but the protagonist easily completes them thanks to bugs. This serves as a highlight to add humor to the quest.

For example, defending against five enemy attacks only requires him to defeat one enemy five times, or disguising himself as a woman for certain tasks. Everything seems absurd, but the system has it all calculated, resulting in the best outcome for him.

Peace slips by until chaos ensues. The kingdom he resides in becomes chaotic as war happens everywhere and corpses pile up in every corner. The protagonist gradually establishes a stronghold called Ha Mountain Camp, gaining renown across the continent.

Unfortunately, he becomes a thorn in the eyes of others, supposedly suppressing banditry, as the coalition of emperors gathers forces to crush his gang.

Cheng Da Lei manages to summon many legendary generals such as Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei through gacha, but they are still immature and require time to nurture. Nevertheless, it’s enough to defeat thousands of enemies with just 3000 people.

However, the tide should have turned until the enemies trap him with corpses surrounding him and relentless fire attacks. Helpless, he gives up everything and lives in seclusion, secretly accumulating forces, waiting for the right moment to claim the king title.

3.Review :

This series has always been at the top of my list. The art is beautiful, the story is long and rich, with thousands of chapters. The most captivating aspect must be the gacha for generals. The main character doesn’t always get legendary generals; sometimes, he only gets refugees or even cow dung.

The author doesn’t overly buff the protagonist, and all tactics are based on his experience and gamer’s intuition. Above all is the system that carries him though it’s so cheeky.

Following the protagonist’s footsteps, the tragedy of the story gradually unfolds. The first half is peaceful and happy until Ha Mountain Estate disappears, revealing the tragedies of various lives: people die of starvation, women are forced into prostitution, and men are drafted into the army.

Only when the protagonist becomes the renowned mountain lord across the continent does it all end. The story blends adventure, action, comedic moments, and beautiful artwork that you shouldn’t miss.
